Euclid Avenue Home

Since construction completed 15 years ago by an architect-duo, this home has been loved and lived in, and continues to evolve as a laboratory of experimentation of urban living connected to nature in the heart of the city.

The green roofs are dynamic ecosystems changing throughout the course of the year; a rooftop beehive is a model for urban apiculture; and the surrounding landscape is a testing ground for agricultural and stormwater management practices.

Photographed over the summer and fall of 2021, these photos reflect an assignment to revisit the home a decade and a half after construction completed in order to document the home within its mature landscape – both in the gardens and on the roofscape above.
